Winter Moisturisers : La Roche Posay & No7

Saturday, 10 October 2015

It's that time of year when I start wanting to snuggle up and pamper myself.

My skin is starting to get dry from the indoor heating and I'm getting chapped lips and rosy cheeks from the cold outdoors.

I have always had sensitive skin so tend to have to up my game in the winter when it comes to face and body moisturisers.

This year I have headed straight to La Roche Posay and No7.

La Roche Posay : Effaclar Mat - Anti-Shine and Anti-Enlarged Pores

La Roche Posay products are amazing for treating problem skin or for skin which have specific requirements. I tend to have fairly clear skin but struggle with enlarged pores so I am careful to ensure I gently exfoliate but also moisturise day and night. Sadly, there is no way of shrinking pores but you can reduce exacibating them by ensuring you clean the skin thoroughly.

I use this moisturiser during the day underneath my make up, it makes a brilliant base, gives a lovely matte finish but is not drying in any way. It has certainly improved the finish of my skin  and appearance once applied.

It has a light gel like consistency and glides on. It is also paraben free.

No7 Essential Moisture Night Cream (Hypo-Allergenic)

This may be a high street moisturiser but it packs a mighty punch and is up there with any high end brand I have tried. No7 are renowned for their skin care and serums and there is something reassuring and staple about this Boots brand.

The cream is a lovely pink smooth double cream consistency that sinks into the skin on application. It does not clog the pores and contains soothing Elderflower and vitamins E and F - making it an absolute bargain product at £9.50.

To also add to my staple winter products I also indulged my snuggly side and purchased this gorge cream Arran jumper by Topshop (£39) which will be a perfect addition to my winter wardrobe. Available online and in store.
