Shopping : St Albans

Friday, 5 September 2014

Sometimes, a mum need a break, a break to wander aimlessly around shops and beauty counters without little hands testing lipsticks on their eyebrows...

So last weekend I popped to St Albans, one of my favourite all time places to shop.

Firstly, it is beautiful, an old market town complete with St Albans Cathedral and basically every highstreet shop you can pretty much think of. It also has some of the brands you don't typically find i.e, Space NK, The White Company, LK Bennett, Reiss, Kurt Geiger...

It is bustling without it being a brutal attack on the senses i.e. Bluewater and also pretty enough to stop outside for food and a bit of a rest in-between shops ;)

Restaurants here are awesome, Carluccio's for Italian, Lusmanns for seasonal British, Little Marakkech, Thai Square...the list goes on.

So here are a few pics of my afternoon escape, I shall be returning soon as i have realised that that they also have a Champney's town spa and is only 10 minutes away from Sopwell House a gorgeous hotel and spa.

Carluccio's pasta crisps - my favourite snack ever!

Ooops and maybe a little treat from Space NK - more on that later!

Lots of love

I may have also picked up a 'Tiddly Pot' and a caramel slab for these chaps too from Hotel Chocolat...
