50s Sun Dresses

Hey Pretty Peeps,

You may have gauged I am a dress girl. Completely and utterly, I know which brand to go to for specific style, shape and even colour ways, for example, muted colour palettes, structured practically architectural styles at Reiss. Whimsical, bohemian warm and urban styling at Whistles. Cool frosted luxe fabrics, soft tailoring at Mint Velvet, Sassy, vibrant European style at Karen Millen....I could go on. What I am getting at is sometimes I can't find what I want - shocking in today's saturated high street I know. Also I love variety and at £££+ for a summer dress this limits my shopping sprees...

So when I am looking for something special and I have looked in every Etsy, Ebay, boutique store (Paper Dolls new fave) I turn to my secret weapon.

Jenny. Jenny use to be a seamstress at Monsoon, she made my wedding dress and she is one uber talented lady.

So here is my predicament, I really want a sundress (or four) but here is the tricky part I want it in a fruit print like one of these :

So here is my tip, if you can't find what you want, be brave and either make it yourself or find a lady who can. It will be a third of the price and you can guarantee that no one else will be wearing the same dress this summer!

Do you like this season's fruit prints?

Lots of love
